The Sovereign Son

Isaiah 9:6–7 declares that God has acted decisively in human history. It proclaims that the Child to be (and was) born is the eternal Son (true man to represent us, true God to save us) sent into darkness to establish an everlasting kingdom. The coming of this Son, Jesus, leaves no neutrality: light has entered the world, and every hearer must reckon with Him.
