One Great Glorious Sacrifice

In Hebrews 9:23–26, we see why Jesus Christ is the one great, glorious sacrifice for sin. While the sacrifices of the old covenant were repeated year after year, Christ offered Himself once for all, entered the true heavenly sanctuary, and accomplished what no animal sacrifice or human effort could ever accomplish: the definitive removal of sin through His atoning death. Stop striving to earn God's acceptance, stop making peace with sin, and rest entirely in the finished work of the crucified and risen Son of God.
